Hi again everyone, at the moment I am using Ardour. To all you Linux users out there, what are your thoughts on this. I only use free stuff so keep that in mind.

In the newly released 6.0 version, it is no longer quite free. The so-called new free version of Ardour 6.0 will time out every 10 minutes intermittently and on purpose. That is their way to encourage people to donate to them if you are going to use their DAW. Is it a good DAW? Yes, it is excellent because of its advanced MIDI routing, multiple audio file support, MIDI editor, and its external device support. This keeps it very relevant and affordable on Linux, Windows, and Mac OS. This is why the developers want something back for their time, but they are not asking for a lot of money. You can pay just $1.00 a month or name your own higher donation amount. The early versions of Ardour were free with no hassles.

Entirely free, but not for Linux: Cakewalk by BandLab. Love it! CTWF

Not entirely free on all version if you download the new Ardour version 6.0.
