You should put a disclaimer on all your acapellas. They say they are free for non-commercial use but they are not. What happens is once you have a collection of mixes, you request all the others to be taken down for copyright infringement. For this reason I won't be using your acapellas from now on and I suggest anyone else who doesn't want to lose control of their work does likewise.
Though my track has been taken down it is still on SoundCloud here:
https://soundcloud.com/aap-scmusic/earthquake-lek-remix-feat
I do hope this isn't one of your profiles????
I would be interested to hear if anyone (apart from you) actually makes any money out of this venture. Could one of the people above actually confirm? Otherwise this all seems highly suspicious to me.
Never really come on the forums...
But,
Lets just say don't be surprised to see me soon...
Legendary!
As long as you don't mind getting your track kicked off all hosting platforms, be my guest on this one
Further to my previous post the plot thickens so any would be remixers out there please be aware that a remix I did for AAP was taken down for copyright infringement. I know this is fair game and I can’t stop the originator from choosing to enforce copyright on the acapella but I have also found out that someone is now trying to sell my remix. That remix is on soundcloud as well with AAP’s name on the track/image so it would appear to have a direct connection to them. I would be very interested to hear from any of the winners mentioned above to see if they are real. Regardless I thought I would post this so that someone might find it useful.
Lek, mate... have you even filed for a formal dispute? Soundcloud removing a remix is an automated procedure that's activated in certain cases. Actually, it is IdentifyMusic.com that does that for SoundCloud. I had 3 of my mixes taken down and after I provided evidence to SoundCloud Support they re-instated my tracks. And yes, I have been paid for my work. AAP's not a ghost. I'm Feb '21 winner.

STANDARD IS SO HIGH THIS MONTH. WAS A NIGHTMARE TO CHOOSE THE ULTIMATE WINNER. WE BASE IT ON STRUCTURE, COMMERCIAL APPEAL, SOUND QUALITY, AND THAT THE TRACK IS IN TUNE. BASICALLY THE TOP 10 TRACKS WE GET ARE ALL BACKABLE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK EVERYONE!
Why is my track on Spotify without my permission?
And how do you expect to pay me royalties when you have no way of paying me? Because you have no intention of doing so I'd imagine. My track is also on SoundCloud without my permission as well.
Lek, I don't know if this is of any help to you but you may claim the Artist profile on Spotify, if this is actually you. Just read Spotify T&C how to apply for it. That way you will be able to access your songs' statistics and know what to expect. My guess is you missed the terms and conditions on submitting a remix to AAP; otherwise you wouldn't have so many questions on the procedure. Just read through it again. You granded the right as soon as you submitted a remix to the competition. After all, you used their Acapella, right? It is pretty straight forward. I am only one of the many artists who collab with AAP for months and our tracks are distributed in the biggest streaming markets. Just chill and take time to read the terms once more. You can only benefit from it, mate. By the way, I found your song on Spotify... it is really good ;) Once there is a check payable to you, I believe AAP will message you, the same way they reached me and asked for a Paypal account or something. It's all in the Terms. Cheers
So are you saying the terms are that my track can effectively be sold on Spotify without my permission and the owner of the vocal track can potentially make money without giving me a penny? If so, yeah those terms stink which is why I won't be using any of his acapellas in future and I would encourage anyone else thinking of using any to seriously reconsider.
I seriously can't be bothered to contact Spotify as I had enough grief dealing with SoundCloud over it. If, in the unlikely event though it does make some serious money I will contact Spotify.
