Hi, im a rapper and would love to hear some tips from others on how I could go about getting more exposure, thanks.
Method 1: Getting involved seems to wirk pretty well. Lets take this site for example, you upload a song, you review 500 songs and in return some people will review some of your work as well, not all 500 will return the favor, they might like it and you'll slowly build a fanbase.
Method 2: Invest atleast 200.000$ in managers (radio managers, venue managers, publishers) so that they get you airplay on the radio, some shows and perhaps a video on youtube and pray they dont ask how big your following is
If they do try Method1 and until you can afford Method 2 again, stick to Method 1
Method 3: There is a tremendous demand for rapper collabs on this site. Collab with someone and lend your voice to their track. Also upload some of your demo songs here to allow people here to determine if you are any good, its a two-way street. The SoundCloud thing almost never works here. Dig in here, get involved here and build something here on this site that is uniquely all you and not just another rap guy like profile. You can either join the rap pack, lead the rap pack, or chart your own path to get noticed. The choice is truly yours but there is no magic solution to this, you really got to put the work into it man.
