A place to talk about all those cool vsti and directx plugins and fx
Hi everyone, I`m "nxtSxlly" on Soundcloud, I'm a beatmaker, and I wanted to ask y'all for some free VST/plugins that works good, has some good sounds or can help me with mixing/mastering or adding some effects to the sounds, anything y'all want.
Please if you can tell me the name of the plugin and explain what it helps you to do, thank you a lot.
D blue glitcher - glitching machine very very tuneable and full customisation 6 glitch fx on it for variations in loops/samples or Hysterious for warping sound completely into something completely different sounding basically i guess both free
MQ57 equaliser is a good free mastering eq with multibands and mid and side eq
Right here on Looperman you can find a multitude of free plugins and VSTs:
I downloaded the free P Bass II Lite from the selections.
They have a really good collection of legal VST freeware and some of them have commercial level quality for free. They do ask for donations sometimes but they are not overly aggressive about it. You still get the download, no signup and no registrations either. This is not crippledware.
They got one of the best virtual 808 distortion pedals on their site for free at:
Lots more there for dynamics, fxs, lofi, mastering, delay, echo, filtering, de-essing, amps, virtual instruments and much more.
Check their "FREE" page
Pretty sure your gonne finds some stuff
DVS Sax is one of the most realistic toned vst
DSK is a 90% stuff for sax...
Yo thank you everyone to suggesting me these VSTs and plugins, I'll check them all!
When I started out I tried out a lot of the free synth and effects VSTs at the links already mentioned. I still use some of the effects VSTs actually but the synth VSTs are nowhere near as good as the ones you have to pay for unfortunately. A lot of the presets are pretty dated and the audio quality isn't great generally. Some of them are buggy and some even routinely crashed my DAW. If you're prepared to put the work in on the sound design you may be able to come up with some decent sounds though. The same goes for mixing and mastering software. The free ones are nowhere near as good as the paid for ones.
I would definitely recommend begging, borrowing, stealing or saving the money to get a decent synth VST if you can. Some of the freebie effects VSTs are not too bad though.

This. THIS so much.
You can be the greatest cook - Your food will suck without good ingredients.
Of course I know that if you want some quality stuff you need to pay, but as I'm still kinda new (I only produce from an year) I first want to see the free, see what I can get from them and then maybe buy some good VSTs and stuff to improve the quality!
highly recommend these plugins:
basically a free bundle of useful mixing tools
this one is an awesome free hybrid synth:
the sounds you can get from this are incredible especially crazy that its free
If budget is an issue, the cheapest half decent synth VST I know is Go2 (Rob Papen). It's not the best one out there by any means but it's miles better than any of the freebies. Time and Space are selling it for just over £20 at the moment and that is a bargain!!
If you're a student that is
There are some decent plugins for drums, synths, and other effects on this list (55 or something I think): https://techraver.com/best-free-vst-plugins/
To be honest, I prefer MT Drummer 2 over others for beats but others might as well work just fine. Each to their own I guess. Hope it helps.
