Hello guys.
One thing I think we need here on the forums is a place to relax and share our opinions to get to know each other. On that note, I wanted to ask you what the most underrated genre of music at the moment in your opinion?
Personally, I think the future bass genre is the most underrated. I think people tend to be much more creative.
Let me know what you think is the most underrated!

I suppose that the main one I disagree with it "Americana." It is probably just because of where I live. It is so over-rated here that one is lucky to find a live show that is not this style of music, most especially original music. Sure there are some metal/classic rock cover bands, but beyond that it's all weekend hippies (yuppies) pretending they are the grateful dead or green day. ;)
You ask a venue if they allow electric or electronic acts to play there, and they act like they don't understand the question. As far as I can tell, the only electronic scene is a weekly drunk DJ... ha ha.
Let's add;
Psychedelic polka
and
Thrash funk
a'la Primus.
Fado (portuguese blues)
Actually in all honesty the most underrated music world wide and especially on this site is HipHop. "What!" you say; the forums are over flowing with Hip Hop and Rap requests surely it's the most popular music on site and everywhere..Wrong! come on nobody takes Hip Hop seriously ask anyone on the street who can read, it's a secular pastime for underdeveloped teenagers at best and something to do before any serious musical awareness is reached and sanity kicks in, so put in some real concern for all those wasted hours of head nodding to sampled regurgitated and for lack of a better word music. (well you did ask for an honest appraisal)
Tamil Trance in Braille
I agree with everyone who commented. According to me, future bass is really one of the most underrated music genres. But, I also think a day will come when Future bass will surpass the popularity of Hip-Hop and become the most loved genre (Maybe in 2100?).
Over eighty years, and that will be the best we can come up with? Eighty years ago, there were not even synthesizers or electric guitars.
I find that to be an unrealistic scenario for Future bass, or the future of music in general.
i think it's indie or alternative/indie
Future bass is not so easy. It's a difficult art. Until aetists like Flume and Illenium are alive, I believe that future bass will keep rising!
Future bass is just a shitty sub sub sub sub sub genre and will NEVER be a real genre like the most underrated post mortal punk walz for two tone jazz and christian death metal lovers!
Furniture Music
The music genre known as Furniture Music came into existence around the year of 1917. Furniture Music is essentially background music comprised of short orchestral pieces that were played live by small bands for shows and live events before the radio was invented.
Now you're playing Balderdash, Joe, lol.
