SadGhoster87 : Sun 13th Nov 2016 : 1 year ago I downloaded the app in question a while back, but I never actually looked through everything in it. When I did, I realized that some of the loops were stolen, leaving it possible that they all were.

    The link is here:

I know solidly that the fourth bass loop in the fourth collection is https://www.looperman.com/loops/detail/71285/ by ZSB410, and a few other ones sounded familiar but I couldn't place them.

The developer in question, chebdev, has made two others in the same vein:
    Trap: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chebdev.trappads
    Hip Hop: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chebdev.hiphopproducerpads

I'm not sure about those ones as I'm not very into the trap or hip-hop scene on Looperman, but I think they're worth checking out. Any advice?

Rileymicheal : Mon 14th Nov 2016 : 1 year ago Well, they are royalty free loops...

flonut7 : Mon 14th Nov 2016 : 1 year ago you should check out these apps for apple iPhones and iPods. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hip-hop-pads!/id947182070?mt=8 https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dubstep-pads!/id935045442?mt=8

I had a similar sort of reaction a year or two ago when i found one of my loops on this guys app which i had just randomly downloaded. I was kinda annoyed at first and even went as far as to hit the creator up on FB and be like yo, nice apps, must been hard to make up all those loops on your own....not so stealthy.

He replied in short order that he had only created a few of them and the vast majority where found on royalty free sample sites like duh duh duh duhhh. Looperman. At that point i let go of whatever lingering sense of entitlement i had been clinging to, along with my dreams of striking it rich in the loop based app market, and instead just took it as a cool lil piece of promo i could show my friends and fellow artists. I suggest you take a similar approach.....as far as the letting go. You might not want to waste you time trying to interrogate the owner on the low.

We donate our loops here because we want to share our musical ideas, help others in need, and because face it, We where never gonna do anything with those loops anyways.....

Peace love and lots of loops

BradoSanz : Mon 14th Nov 2016 : 1 year ago Theres nothing you can do about it. Haha,

When you come here and download loops, you can use it for anything. Someone could take all the loops and sell them as loop packs if they wished - uploading the loops here gives users the right to do as they please with them.

"We donate our loops here because we want to share our musical ideas, help others in need, and because face it, We where never gonna do anything with those loops anyways..."

I have to say two things about that.
Lol and exactly. If someone uses my loop in their app for some music thats fine, however, I do agree with SadGhoster because claiming them as your own content is a little sideways. The least they could do is just have it looping... IDK.. just thought i'd voice my opinon. Peace

When you listed the trap app as well and you mentioned the developer is ripping off loops from this site I just had a feeling I was in the loops that got lifted from this site to this guy's app and I was right. He leads off his trap app using one of my loops, kind of funny, but I am not mad. Going into loop production here on looperman.com you must accept these types of issues as a possibility and not really a problem. Just think of all of the commercial songs that are stolen daily by pirates and then there is my loop in this guy's app, ha, pssh. Not a big deal.

Listen to the first loop in his demo video:

    Now listen to my loop:

I am okay with this but it would of been nice if he would of asked, I could of made him some exclusives. Oh well.

Disclaimer: I have no connection with that Trap app by chebdev and I have not officially approved of it, so use it at your own risk.

BradoSanz : Fri 18th Nov 2016 : 1 year ago @JosephFunk Youre a good man. It's a testament to your skill that it was the first loop displayed. Almost a shame that the drum loops he chose were out of time though haha

Unknown User : Fri 18th Nov 2016 : 1 year ago Thanks @Brado. Since those cheezy Android Music Pad apps lack some type of time stretching engine or beat synchronization technology, you are going to get a car wreck of an app like that. Sad but funny!

    Peace, Brado!

GregVincey : Fri 18th Nov 2016 : 1 year ago I say let them steal it or borrow, whatever they call it. Could have all the loops, and sound banks in the world, but they can't take away whats in your heart. They will never know the feelings you felt at that moment, the emotions, your intentions.

SadGhoster87 : Mon 5th Dec 2016 : 1 year ago Hi, forgot this thread existed, okay. I thought loops were only free to use in songs, not as content in apps. Thanks though, for the info.

Unknown User : Fri 26th May 2017 : 1 year ago Ain't that a B*tch! I just had a user who said I ripped loops from a cheesy Android app. Give me a break! When in actuality there is a user here taking loops and incorporating them into his android apps listed above.

The app in question was created on the 9th of Sept 2016 and created with my loop sound. My Looperman loop in his app was created on the 15th April 2015 more than a year prior to the cheezy android app. Just wanted to slap some sense into that guy who called me a ripper.

Some people really need a life, what kind of person would rip audio from an android app anyways? Oh well!

VirginiaSlimm : Sun 25th Jun 2017 : 1 year ago I stopped making loops bc of this. When I was working my hardest I was getting used without credits the most. So now I finish a project first, with chords and lyrics or at least as a finished instrumental song. This way my loops are copyrighted elements of an existing song/arrangement. (why I only post links to my stems, not actual files here).
Independent struggling artists will still use them, and that doesn't bother me, but if Drake does and makes loot for his fantasy crib, I have some legal recourse.
