Hi Looperfam,
I've been experimenting with the idea of making more dubsteppy music and although I think they sound alright. I really want to elevate these tracks to something better. Now my problem is trying to create growls. There are tons of tuts on wobbles but I can't find anything to point me in the right direction as far as really focusing on the growls.
Basically like https://www.looperman.com/loops/detail/67602
I can't quite get the distortion to have enough bite or something. Any help would be appreciated.
Well, in the example loop that you referenced, you'll notice Bassfreaks description only contains one word. "Massive". I imagine theres several methods to do this but personally I know of only one which I believe is in fact the same method Bassfreak used in his loop.
He's referring to the Native Instuments "Massive" VST.
So if you dont have Massive, I suggest getting it.
Theres plenty of tutes available that can guide you through the process to get you what your looking for.
Heres a couple to get you started.

Good Luck !
best way is to learn what all those buttons and knobs on youre vst do.
I am going to start making tutorials on how I have created my dubstep growls if you are interested. I am planning on having my first tutorial up before Christmas.

@NeoMorphues - Thanks for the direction. I used to have Massive on my old PC, just never got around to putting on my new set-up. I guess I'll get back to that then.
@3n0 - Buttons and knobs on what though? That was the essence of what I was asking, but I get what you mean.
@cfiredog - subscribed.
Thanks guys
Hey Zee,
I found this tut on talking wobble - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_X2vRA9I4XA simple and easy to apply to almost any instrument in FL.

layer 4 ocillators in series. sin square sin sin, then you have to mess around with octaves and the overall tone to get some growling
Ever since Noisiaa and Skrillex, there a"massive" out pouring of requests on this subject. get Massive and FM8 .experiment with them. youtube everything you can . learn about and master the art of modulation. simple as that.
