When it comes to mastering there is an aperture for taste sonically. However the best amster will be the one that translates to the widest range of systems and sounds good on all of them.

This is difficult to achieve on bookshelf type speakers, you need to hear a sense of scale to make the correct judgement. In addition you need to make such decisions in a highly optimized and acoustically treated room.

If you cannot hear the problems, you cannot fix the problems. And if you room is not treated you will be hearing the innaccuracies within the room and possibly treating things that do not even exist.

Assuming translation is taken care of choose the master which is subjectively most pleasing ot the ear.

    cheers
