I removed another 100,000 + old user accounts that had no activity in over a year or so.

    I did this before too

    https://www.looperman.com/forum/thread/26895

What this does is free up a few resources and unlocks a lot of names that you would not have been able to choose in the past.

All these accounts had uploaded nothing, put nothing in the forums, reviewed nothing etc so its no loss to anyone

the next round of deletes i think will be anyone who has tracks posted but has not logged in since 2008-01-01

At the mo that shows just over 7000 users and their tracks

The idea here is to reduce the size of the folder holding the tracks which currently stands at over 170gb

the only reason is that we have a new server set up and as you can imagine it takes a while to move everything over.

no point moving stuff that the owners dont even use

@Looperman: Don't blame you a bit. Dead weight is always a burden, even on a computer storage system. Besides, why would anyone join a site that they aren't actively involved with? Sounds like you're on top of things, bro....

@ dugnbeatl - "digital enema"...lol...that is so funny as well as a little spooky.

A little bit of spring cleaning never did anyone any harm...and chances are they'll be back...and maybe participate next time.

to spyderx, i think i know what some of these may be bc ive done it myself: you find something cool, or that you want, but to get access you need to register, just to hear something, or dl a track or whatever, they sign up real quick, then never or seldom return...maybe

I know this is a little off topic, but I am SO glad the site is back online! I think I only realised when the site went offline how much I actually use it :)

Hi Looperman, first, I'm grateful to you for locking my last
topic (best beat in looperman) and I promise no longer to post such a provocative topics . I should name my topic like this:
" I've produced the worst track in Looperman"
Second, about my loops that I've deleted from looperman:
I think looperman deserves to have a loops with a best sound only
but my ones had a poor sound although they had a good musicianship, so, I think that my action was right as well as your action with deleting 100000 old users.
    Regards
