Having Problems ? Let Me KNow
If you find youre having any problems using the new site then heres what to do and what not to do in order to get them resolved.
- Firstly read the help section of the site as Ill be updating that as we go along and may have covered the issue already.
- Dont ask questions on facebook as I dont check it all that often and so wont answer any problems there.
- The help section has been updated with a message on how to report problems. If you dont send me the information I need I cant help you.
- Read the Welcome back blog post. I mentioned quite a few things in there and a number of things have been covered in the comments.
- Read the About Us page. Again, you might find an answer there or see why certain things are not quite as they used top be.
If all else fails and you think you found a bug or did not find the answer to your question then the only way to get things fixed is to mail me. The best way to get in touch is via my contact page but if you cant login then mail me on admin at looperman dot com.
If you do have to contact me then you need to send me as much information as possible otherwise its impossible to help you out. Simply saying blah blah does not work i need to know the your user profile url, the url where your having a problem, the browser you use as well as the version number, what you tried to do, what you think should have happened and what actually happened. If possible sending me a screenshot helps too
As the site has only just come back online there is still stuff thats being implemented so if its more a case of a feature does not exist as opposed to something does not work just hold fire and wait for it to be sorted.
we just resolved an issue where the reply to a comment link did not work on pages other then the main page for that item.

I can't play tracks on their main track page, but can play them when they are in the track list on a member's profile (I hope that makes sense?) I'm using windows vista and firefox.

hy looperman , i keep trying to upload a track and i tryed 10 times and keeps telling me ''The filetype you are attempting to upload is not allowed''
what to do ?its mp3 , not bigger than 10mb
I cant upload loops either! is anyone else having a problem like this?

Hi Looperman, love everything about the site.. but ever time i try to upload an acapella it says "Sorry uploads are currently limited to pre authorised users only.Check the acapellas section of the help area for more information on this." and when i clickon the "How do I upload an acapella" faq it just keeps taking me back to the help page.. and when i try to post in the forums it tell me i dont have permission to post
Just a little update on my falling out the loop. I have found that if I dl the pella or loop from its main page ie the page where I can leave a review then there is no problem, it's only when trying to dl from the pella browser page that lists all the pellas that I sometimes,not always, fall out the the loop.
There seems to be a problem when trying to dl pella's, I keep getting directed to the 'oops fallen out the loop' page. It's been going on for a while now so thought you should know bout it.

garrin, try clear your browser cache
i have a similar problem . if i click on my profile / my tracks, it says "this page cannot be displayed- 502 proxy error" have tried chrome and firefox and no luck

eshar, the problem with the link on the counters was a typo which i fixed. problem is i fixed it wrong so just fixed it again :-)
Djacques, can you confirm this still happens. did you try a different browser and did that fix it. what version of IE are you using. make sure to update your browser if you did not already.
dungbeatl, again need to know what browser your using. There may have been an issue with login sessions which hopefully has been resolved. maybe not 100% though.
Thethankx, wav files are just wav files and i duidnt make them so it must be something with your local setup.
Everyone. I can only say it so many times about uploading loops and acapellas and forum access. While the site is being tested in a live setup youll just need to wait.

ok now why should we upload only 1 item per day?? this is just not cool what happened to 5 tracks coz it was a lot better.
The problem with the number links still exists...it seems to be when ever anyone starts a new thread in the "from the forums" section.
i can only upload with windows explorer,but there seems to be a problem. ysterday i uploaded a track on explorer and it worked fine, but today i uploaded a track and its glitchs and skips every few seconds. i try upoading the track three times and its the same. the track on my hard drive is fine, its just when i upload it! cant wait till all the bugs r worked out.
glad to see the site back up, ive been checking up every day for the past few weeks hoping itd be up lol but now i cant seem to even go to loops or accapellas, it brings up an error page "internet explorer cannot display the webpage" yet when i click on tracks/home/myprofile etc it will work fine..i tried deleting my browsing history and cookies but that didnt work, does any body have some suggestions?

Had a break over the weekend and have work to catch up on the next few days so have a backlog of emails from people to deal with and then ill work through any problems that have been reported.
I have to remind you though if you dont email me enough details of a problems its impossible to fix.
For anyone mailing about permission to upload loops and acapellas Im afraid if you were not pre authorised before or have a load of acapellas already in the system then youll have to wait a bit. Even if I allowed you to upload they would not be checked for a while as i have other more important things to do.
Anyone looking for permission to post in the forums will have to wait as I need to update the permission system first.
Maybe frustrating but just the way it is now. The idea is that I get the basics working right first.
works fine on chrome.
so i uploaded a new track using firefox. now i know with posting tracks there is an advisory note to use other browsers besides firfox if there are problems uploading. no problems i had. but everywhere else, there are issues. like when posting a comment, any comment, after clicking the post a comment button, all i get is a blank page. i have to return to the previous page and refresh it to see my comment. also, the cursor in text input fields disappears from time to time. just wondering if this is happening to other people as well who use firefox.

Hey, I've been trying to download loops directly to my iPad (where I do a lot of my digital music making) and it's not recognizing the .wav files. Any chance I'll be able to do this or am I just out of luck?
Hallo, I think you used to have a software section, Ja? Where is it now? I am looking for something lo-fi / low fi for voice. Don't say g**gle for it, as all I find is a whole heap of Shei*e. Anyones help here would be appreciated. Kitty

I just read in all places I can think of cuz I know yer super busy and so... I dont know if this is truly a "bug" or just a suggestion ... but... one thing I really miss is that when I am listening to someone else's track and I decide to write a comment, on the old site the song would continue to play as I would change pages, etc - but now, as soon as I click to write a comment the song stops, a new page comes up and I have to start the song again from the beginning - which kinda kills the inspiration in truly giving good feedback to folks - cuz usually it is at the moment that I start to feel inspired by the song that I decide to add a comment - and when that choice results in the song stopping I am now more apt to skip giving the feedback in favor of continuing to listen - this is NOT by any means a "gripe" - just some feedback for you - thanx for all you do, Shan!!

if you search Google for the error Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): you'll find plenty of info on how its a browser specific issue probably fixed by clearing the browser cache.
Odotzed, can you elaborate. If your trying to review your own tracks you cant do that anyway. If your trying to reply to comments on your tracks have you tried a different browser as it may be an issue with the reply button being hidden due to a positioning error on my part. By trying a different browser we will know this is the case and can then get that fixed.
DextDee, if you mail me the urls that dont work along with a few that do I can see what the problem is. Again let me know what browser etc
Hello Everybody! i have finally had time to fully get back to the site!
i just found this problem...
when i go to some of my loops and i hit the feature that shows how many ppl downloaded the loop, 2/3 times it takes me to the home page. there have been instances where it showed me the list but then most of the time it takes me to the home page.

This only happens on pages with music content. ie Loops & Samples, Acapellas, Tracks all other pages open

How do i change my name?? I cant find it anywhere on settings like before. Is that just not back yet?
