Description
well I finally laid this down for one of my fav looperdudes TheseAreIt!!! ...my spanish may be a little off ...this just kinda came to me, i'm still playing with it and i forgot how to pronounce somethings but this is a first draft. I really couldn't mix, because cubase starts getting funky when you add to much effects and vocal tracks so I'll probably have to rebuild this one, but i thought i would post for feedback before i try again, perphaps I will get the whole thing translated in spanish and try that..who knows......it's about how some people can capture your world and make you want them day and night..lol...

I promise to not make you blush ( much...hehehe ). When I saw the jazz genre I said well...ok, I'll listen ( not a big fan of jazz you see - not good memories there ). Oddly though, I did not perceive much jazz to your track, to me there was of course the spanish influence with a health seasoning of Motown ( I just love Motown, did I spell that right ? ) Anyhow , absolutely great track - a heady aromatic mixture.
As for the speaking of another language, it can add a wonderous flavour. My Quebecois French is not great but holy smokes - I've stopped swearing in English and do all my swearing in French - you can really blow off a lot of steam. Anyhow, and this is very important - a person that speaks 2 or more languages will have a great reduction of chance to not get alzheimer's, and, the same person playing music or singing, well, the chance is almost nonexistant...ok I'm going to stop here - I don't want to ramble on - Again great track !!!
Nice dance track. Mixing it up with the spanish vocals. Funky beat with a nice sample.

well i love funk!! and the spanish just seemed natural..it such a wonderful language, just wish I was able to express myself more in it.
thanks for listening and reviewing...aj
Groovy beautifully done track! Your voice always adds so much to a beat, not much compares really! I can't give much additional advice on how to improve this, because it really is very good as it stands. Great stuff!

Ahhh..you sweet talker you...I love it...what i love about this site there are no limits except the one you put on yourself. When I hear the music you guys create it inspires me to find something in myself...on big circle this site is.
This is sweet. I've heard this beat from thez and wanted to rip a few verses over it, but now I think not. lol. You got this on lock. Great vibe AJ, very well done.

Hey Nepaul, there is always room for improvement, in fact I would love to hear a flow over this maybe I could just send you the vocals with the chours only when I get it together and you see if something hit you? let me know. aj
This is great... soulful and funky. I like the expressive vocals and the muted trumpet is a nice touch. Reminds me of Acid Jazz (that's a good thing for me...)

Acid Jazz I like that.. Thanks really appreciating the positive feedback and it makes me really want to lay this one down properly.
take care,
AJ
Real jazz soul fusion...I like it...and it has a sultry sound to it...I'm really impressed at your Spanish...I speak no other languages...so kudos.

haha my spanish...a chica from panama wasn't sure what i was saying...so i think my spanish needs some updates...but it was fun and I'm looking forward to doing something in an actually foreign language as spanish is more of distant cousin...
..lol...I don't think I've reached my peak yet, hopefully. take care and thanks for the support.
Hey A.J,
Well,I guess Kenneth said quite everything and I don't have any advice to give concerning mastering cause it's my weakness. But I love the track, very smooth and warm. It's crazy how your voice gives you a strong musical identity whatever style you're trying.
I'll check the update

Hey RickMal, thanks so much for listening and commenting, yeah i think this song has potential too, it was really cool and I'm looking forward to making it better. Thanks so much. aj
i love the anthem to the smooth mood groove to the sweet mood. Love the ride, very very nice.
That said - your vocals sound good, the underlying track sounds good - but it seems like there is a dirty pane of glass between the two. You might want to try some Parametric EQ - on the vocals, cut off the bottom frequencies, and then for the instruments, cut off the top. That's what i would do since it would reasonably give each element the room it needs without it being strange in places - as it could become if you use compression, and then even sidechain it to the other track - it might come in and out weirdly.
Worth any attention you give it though this is - so much so if you want me to give it a go I would love to.
Cheers - want to see this one on sabado gigante - get to it!!

Hey Ken, I like the dirty pane of glass that fits well...yet this is a massive track, I think i did like 3 tracks each for the different lines of chorus I'm trying to working on the harmonies, but I really need to go back and piece it together slowly to really get the feel. So yeah if you will once i get all the piece together I would be delighted to send to you...
So now you know I'm gonna be expecting a track from Senor Ken in spanish too soon right???
later mi amigo!
