Description
I was playing around with changing an original keyboard sound and ended up putting it through a vocoder that logic has. It's a weird sound so I decided to keep it, I'm aware it needs to be lowered as it's too loud at the moment this is very much a work in progress idea. I wanted a 70's flavour so added a 'cop show' clav sample. Finally the vocals in the break are an experiment, I sang some high notes echoing the clav sample notes and then echoed it to give it an ethreal feel. Question is, does it work and what pictures does it conjure in your mind?

Multi-talented...I'm gonna add you to my list of female inspiration on this site, right up that with Eshar and Firey.
As I said great to see you on the site, especially adding so much.

I love the funky sound and those clavs wow...I think I heard NoahS use them and I loved them on his loops.

I would definitely like to hear more of the vocals it sounded so sweet when it came in. It is my earnest goal to be able to create something on day so for now your my site wonderwoman..lol...good job.

Aw thank you...I feel the same about your material. This site is great for many reasons and its a chance to air out some stuff i'm doing and get some feedback, meet like minded musicians and check out peoples music ...thank you for your review ...point taken 'bout adding more vocals, i'm working on it :-)

Well first of all i love those sudden breakdowns and the way the drums flow in there...nice and smooth...that part is professionally produced...kinda hard to fit drums in a mix the way you did.
It ain't to loud at all it's just a matter of eq...cut a bit between 800Hz-1.2kHz and 2.4kHz-3.2kHz and then compensate with a bit of high silky touch adding a soft touch right above 5kHz smoothing the thing out with another boost around8kHz...that should make it more pleasing.
My guess is you added reverb on the vocoder sound but if that reverb has an option to switch of the early reflection do it....because it's quite a percussive sound and it has that unnatural slap back feel with the reverb...however if that's what you were after don't cut it of.

I've already listened 3 times and those breakdowns always surprise me.

This is some experimental electronic that would fit right in my collection. I know this sounds weird but I'm picturing an action movie scene where the guy is sneaking around ready to take out some bad guys.

The flow is really nice, and the beat is to die for. I think that's my favorite part about this track, it's a very experimental beat in my opinion, and brings out the unique style that you have.

lol I must have listened to this a few times.

Thank you for the feedback ...guess it was the sound that I put in which is funnily enough called cop show, so you were right on the button there lol. I'm glad you think I have a unique style I am hoping to develop this area and be a little inventive...Logic is such a vast program I know its gonna take me some time to learn all aspects. This track is still in development, any ideas to oomph it up a bit would be most welcome :-)

Well!!!! that was a nice try!!! and the high nodes u took sounds good ... its quiet tough 2 make a hip hop stuff.. welll i think if the tempo was slow.... the track would have gone for some what professional hip hop ...well anyways ... once again nice stuff !!! u have got a good stuff with u .... Anyways nice work... keep doing .!!!

the ending of the track could be much more better gizella ..
hope u will give ya best in the next hip hop track .... take care ....!!!

I have a picture of a small man in a freezer. He has frostbite, but he really doesn't feel like moving. As hypothermia sets in, he reaches for a pack of frozen green beans to ice his shoulder that is sore from the cricket match in which he just partook. I thought the levels were fine. It could use some more variety, though.
