Description
This is another off the cuff recording, nothing fancy just an electric guitar track and an alto sax track. Both tracks recorded first take to try and capture the improvisation in it's raw state. I have added reverb to the sax and adjusted the levels slightly, but that's it. I am sticking with this format for the next 6-10 tracks, I just want to work on getting the what's in my head music across to the finger music a little more directed, if that makes sense.. Such a sweet and wonderful piece of music, it's just perfect.
I love the diverisity of sounds and the way it moves and flows like a silk scraf in a gentle breeze. Great job. AJ

Hey man...interesting formula...retrospective..or breaking down the cellular barrier between thought and action...I think one of the magical things about music is that it represents the future and the past at the same moment....It could be argued that the responses of a musician are governed by his tutelage and ability. I'm more inclined to believe that once a certain intimacy and understanding is achieved the brain takes over in that wonderful knack we humans have..we extemporise....I've met few musicians that can do this as creatively and successfully as you can....Like many of your students we are lucky to get an opportunity to learn from as well as enjoy your music.......planet :)

Hey Planet, nice words from one so wise and musical.It's a strange one to digest this improvising/instant composition. I'm having to think about what the sax/lead instrument will play while recording the guitar foundation, and trying to accomodate the interplay between the two before I get to that stage. Does that make sense? Anyway I have done another five done, so watch out for more spontaneity coming real soon..

I like this raw direction. Its not complex but yet its compelling. I sense some darkness in this mix around the 3:00 minute mark. its beautiful.

this sounds like pink floyd in a way to me.....can you hear gilmour introducing a nasty riff in there.great job as usual.

I saw Pink Floyd live at Wembley way back. This concert changed my whole out look on being a musician. Their sound and visual was incredible, a bit like you E. I'm glad you enjoyed my meanderings... Farthoven...

For years, improvisation was the only way I'd play. This track you've uploaded reminds me exactly why. The slightly effected sax is to die for, my man! Also, and more significantly, you've managed to avoid the trappings of most solo work - it doesn't sound like someone tossing off at all! Cheers.
