Description
A collaboration with sax man Luke Townsend from Cape Town. Its a track from an album we completed last year called 'The Trip', featuring some beats & samples from local electronic dude Captain Asthma. Has an Eastern Feel with a very warbly bass sound. Was put together using Acid Pro and finished off using CuBase. The bass and horns were live (some looping), the rest is loops. The album was self-released - we did a limited pressing of 200 copies. Available in SA!

To me this has an Eastern feel, but one that's been filtered through East Africa on its way south. Though it's got a very Western, electronic sensibility to the rhythm, there's definitely other influences coming from the foundation. Especially the marimba or xylophone that slides in and out of it. Personally, I think it makes this even better as a track. I really like how the sax and wicked bass turn it into its own unique piece - very original without being 'weird.' Nice one, I have to check out more of your work.
Really liked the world feel of this track...great samples. The sax was awesome in the bridge. Looking forward to more.

Thanks. We'll be posting other tracks from the album (is something that doesn't get released an 'album' ?) on the site. I sent your comments through to Luke in Cape Town - its a cool place by the way.
Absolutely brilliant. The bassline is great and I really like the mellow sax with the energetic beat, it just works.

Thanks brother. I have to confess that it took a shedload of time to put together, and a trip to a recording studio, which costs bucks of course. Its sometimes worth it though, just to hear a tune of yours in a different location.
very nice track
the sax and change kind of came from left feild but i mean that in a good way.
i can tell from you uploaded sampled that your a very skilled bass player and from this track your very skilled producer too
welcome to the site ..this is actually very refreshing music :)

Thanks for your positive comments. The tracks we did for the album took forever to finish, but we were happy with the end result.
