This jazz piece was originally recorded on analogue tape years ago. I dumped it onto my computer hard drive and attempted to clean it up with today's technology in order to salvage it. No loops, this was recorded before all that. |

Actually I just wanted to find a cool bass sample to jam on drums to as practice. I came here and found this very inspiring bass sample by MrE. As I was jamming along I thought, I need to get this down on tape, so I did. Then I added some nightmare clown guitar and It sounded great. The song is just a simple little idea nothing too complex. I wanted the overall sound to be vintage in character not ultra mega quality. You would laugh if you seen the equipment I use to record. Mostly old beat up gear I find in thrift stores and garage sales. But If you know what your doing it can be done. I would like to thank Looperman for allowing me the opportunity and MrE for the inspiring bass line. Thank You. |

The synthesizer bass riff and the wind were created in MelodyAssistant, exported as .AIFF files. Effects applied in GarageBand.
All the drum patterns were constructed manually in GarageBand, using Techno Drum Kit Software Instrument.
The bells are recorded, so are the sax "flaps" (to reinforce conga sound when the riff builds up) and a pseudo-guitar lick at the end (sax with Amp Simulation effect). |

Was created first as a backing track for the live performance of the Jean Genet's The Maids, designed, produced and directed by my daughter Dar and performed at WOW in August. Later on I recorded the sax solo - what I used to play live - over it. This was a piece played at the very beginning, setting up the mood for the whole play. |

This was written a good year or so ago, and was just sitting on my hard drive, waiting for a cool concept. The concept never came, though, so I decided just to go with it as it is, melody in, solo, melody out, done.
Recipe: played on AKAI EWI4000S, loops built with software instruments on Oxygen 8 controller, bossa drum loops courtesy of Mcboy (a while ago), some GB shakers and congas.
Fall had always been my favorite time of the year, still is. |

A little improvized essay to celebrate my buying (finally) a controller. Don't get me wrong, I am not a keyboard player... just trying out new hardware.
The tune done literally in two hours, from 7 to 9 Saturday morning, and revisited to add another layer of syn next day (half an hour more). Genre wise, I think of it as sort of a "diet jazz", fat free, so to say, light and fluffy... hope you like it. |

well I finally laid this down for one of my fav looperdudes TheseAreIt!!! ...my spanish may be a little off ...this just kinda came to me, i'm still playing with it and i forgot how to pronounce somethings but this is a first draft. I really couldn't mix, because cubase starts getting funky when you add to much effects and vocal tracks so I'll probably have to rebuild this one, but i thought i would post for feedback before i try again, perphaps I will get the whole thing translated in spanish and try that..who knows......it's about how some people can capture your world and make you want them day and night..lol... |

The second edition in my Jazzy Joint collection. LOL. No but, this one I'm feeling so far. I took a great drum loop from ajmunson that I chopped up here and there to keep it fresh. You'll also hear vocals from Gizella throughout and my own vocal snippets on the chorus. Me on the bass, with a few other loops and fx. A smooth jazzy track. I played the guitar, sax, flute, etc.....everything except the drums and the piano stab (they're loops.) I used my Roland GR-20 for the other instruments. I was going for an urban city feel. Enjoy!

Another track from my 2005 cd. I put this in the Jazz genre because to me it has more of a jazz feel than ambient or electronic. The lead in this track was a single take. I had the first 10-15 seconds rehearsed everything after that was made up as I went. The entire track was played with my Alesis QS keyboard and recorded and arranged using Adobe Audition and Magix. |

This is a track that I built from scratch using pure apple loops which are exceedingly common lol. Originally simply because I wanted musicians to be able to do this live with no complication. I sang it in February at a friends party in Switzerland a perfect intimate venue which this song complimented. Lee and I may release it on the next Time Pilot album. |

This is my take on the Weather Report jazz classic Birdland. I recorded this years ago on an Atari running cubase V 2.0 ( antique equipment ). It sounds quite a lot like the original in terms of the sounds I used. No loops, all done on the guitar synth. |
