Played base semi pro from somewhere in the late 60's to 1976, then took the plunge to full time until 1980. I played in rock bands, show bands, top forty bands, retro bands, studio, house bands, throw together for one night bands, and one Italian wedding band ( don't laugh - that's where I learned how to sing and play at the same time ). Toured Quebec,Ontario, New England..etc. Lived out of a suitcase - it was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
I left the business for various reasons. But eventualy I felt something calling me and I wanted a Herculean challenge....I found it alright - I learned and played bagpipes ( oh the agony ) from 1995 till 2000. I taught it in my last year(Gawd, what was I thinking )
I recently heard the call again and discovered Magix and then Reason...

First influence was celtic - live, every Saturday night as I grew up, performed by family and friends - great Irish environment, fist fights were rare thankfully.
Started playing rock and phsycodelic in local Montreal bars when I was 16 in late 60's early 70's with them thar hippie lads.....improv/fun, taking musical chances, playing with all sorts of muscians, and hearts desire - the greatest influences of all.
...and then came Mountain, Hendrix, The Rabble ( Montreal ), Pink Floyd, Uriah Heap, Buddy Wasisname and them Other Fellas(Newfoundland )...
...and of late - the Looperman community.

Lately, and I don't know why, my tracks have been very much in the fusion and weird style - I did not expect that.
Sadly, I don't have a lot time to apply finesse, sublty, or even good sense. I bang it out and have a great time doing so and hopefully some fun gets embeded within the track which will infect...err..uhm...I mean "please" the listener before he/she loses all will power and become a mindless thrall to my evil plan of taking...crap, there I go again... you will remember nothing nothing...nothing....etc.
Oh yea, almost forgot ...sometimes I'll quietly insert something odd to see if anybody notices.
