About Me

It all began in 1989 and with the sudden influx of acid house I was initially hooked. It progressed through the early nineties with hardcore, (happy and dnb) and I got my first set of deck in 1993.. KAM belt driven beauties..(chuckes to self).. it was awesome the only thing you couldn't do with them was scratch, the platters would rock and the needle would reach for the stars. That all changed the day I got my brand new SIlver Technic 1200's..out came the scratching like sly and slipmat. I expanded my mixes to include early trance and techno and even some hip hop but my roots lie in drum n bass. Whilst still heavily into mixing my first taste of producing music was on the playstation and a little known peice of software called music 2000. I spent hours on it, made about 30 tracks.. and then I got my first PC, then 8 years had passed and one thing led to another and finally in late 2008 I finally got a chance to resume my passion for producing music and here I am.

Instruments I play

Keyboards mainly, but hoping to broaden my knowledge soon. Oh does triangle count? *chuckles*

Software I Use

Most of it is produced with FL Studio 9 at the moment. (plan to move into ableton or cubase at some point)
Sound Forge with Izotope Ozone (for mastering)
VST's: FM8, Massive, Albino 3, Zeta+ to name a few.

Hardware I Use

My PC, basic Midi Keyboard.

Listening To Right Now

I still like the older stuff!

LK - DJ Marky feat. MC Stamina
Karma Sutra (slinky_mix) - Aphrodite
Slam - Pendulum
Dave Guetta (ft Kelly Rowland - When love takes over
Mauro Picotto - Pulsar
Apologize - Timbaland
Tinchy Stryder (ft N Dubz) - Number 1 (Bimbo Jones Remix)
Deadmau5 - I Remember

To name just a few on my mp3 player.

My Top 10 Favourite Albums

In no particular order:

My Influences / Fav Artists

My influences are as varied as my musical taste:

Mickey Finn / Aphrodite,Pendulum,Mauro Picotto,Oakenfold,Tiesto,Carl Cox, anything on Platipus Records,Audio Bullies,Moby,Prodigy,Groove Armada.. to name just a few.

My Music Sounds Like

It sounds like my own music, I try not to immitate anyone, some influences may shine through tho, I prefer it dark with DnB and uplifting with the trance side of things.

In My Other Life I ...

Work as a delivery guy for a retail distribution company in the northwest of England. Play some warcraft although nowhere near to what I used to. Tend to my RL zoo and feed the missus! ;-)
