About Me

It all started at a really young age when my Mom was a famous Ballet Dancer. She was in the Geat Canadian Ballet and I folloed her to many Shows. She showed me how to put up a great show and all the hard work it takes to realize that.

With this man I learned how to record voice for Voice Dubbing and how to Cut Commercials. I had to work at the age of 13 with some of the most influent French Signers of Europe and some less famous from Québec.

At age 11, one of my neighbors, who worked at Radio Canada and had a Radio Station, invited me over to his place to show me his Recording Studio that he had at home cause my mom was tierd of me unplugin' and plugin' her sound system.

Right there I knew it was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

At age 14 I had my own Mixer, Turn Tables (with no Pich) 2 Sony 5 C.D. Changers and was doing mixtapes and remix for my friends. Sometimes me and my friend would gather our electronics together and throw huge house pary that would last for ever in our basements. We even builted our own Lighting system with an improvised switch box !

From the age of 14 to 17, I was going back and forth from Québec to Banff Alberta where I was doing my HighSchool in English. Over there, during carrer day, the school principal allowed me to invite Much Music for the School Dance. This gave me an opportunity to have a work experience with Much Music to set up their Big Rig in the gym which was 2 huge Projector Screens allong with the Pounding Sound System all hooked up to the Mobile Studio Parked just outside the gym exit. Back then they were doing the Party with VHS Tapes ! This was Hi Teck for the time back in the 1990's

When I got back from the Rockies, I joined a Break Dancin' Crew called the Rockwell Crew. I met them at a local Discoteck and at the time they Rapped and danced between the song. The Rockwell Crew was the first B-Boy Crew on the South Shore of Montréal to be known when Break Dancin' gained in popularity. At the time we were all ranging from 15 to 18 years old and we toured for a whole year accross the Clubs of Montréal and Private School. Payed To Dance ! During that time I had a 8mm. Video camera that I was brigning everywhere to film the show cause I was the worst dancer of the crew, so that's where the crew named me Pick-Samples. Later on for style purpose and the year 2000 I changed it to Pix-Samplz.

The Rockwell crew has now evolved to become the Rockwell Familly. They have 2 Dance studio around Montréal and compete at the international level and their always go to the top. Check em' out on YouTube !

Back in the club where I met the Rockwell Crew. There was a D.J., That is now a Great Friend, that was spinning there. He Was known as D.J. Happy Man! A Pioneer in Dance Music and a living encyclopedia of electronic music. He now has his own Record Store for now 10 years and has his own Radio Show on Cool F.M. 94,3 Live from Funky Town on Cressent St. in Montréal where they hold the F1 activities.

At age 18, I just went crazy when I became legal to go out to all the clubs I wanted to get drunk in, stare at the lighting system and listening to wicked music! This was only the begining of a trip that lasted 7 years !

So I was working for a HI FI Speaker company named Nuance Audio Corp. I was Sales Person and Sales Trainer/Supervisor for Québec area ! During that time I sold a Home theater of a man living in Manitoba and he was owner of a Petrolium company. He got himself a 150 000$ home theater that we did for him ! Complete with Bryston Amps, Bryston Pre Amps, 100 inch Projector, 2x 2x10inch Subs with built in amps, The cream of the crops Pioneer AC3 Dvd player (Dolby Digital was not even out yet for another 9 months at the time !!) Sound Proove Cork Walls and much much more ! sooo... I got tired of that job and went for greater challenges !

Year 2000 !!! Happy New Year ! (I just can't write about what happened that night !)

After that I was an International Buyer for the company Y.M. Inc. At that time I was doing many things at once... I was traveling North America from Clothing convention to Clothing Convention in places like New-York, Las Vegas, Los Angels, Toronto, Montréal trying to figure out what would be the next trend and buy clothes for over 400 stores accross America. I had the chace to meet with people like: the original Rock Steady Crew, Good Charlots, Tony Hawks and all the majors of clothing like Johnny Blaze, Echo and much much more. This is where I learned how to get Filthy Rich ! I was also Bartender in The Old Montréal where all the tourists goes to visit the verry starting of Montréals history. It just happened that my Boss's father was the President of the Old Montréal's Merchand. With this man I learned about media coverage and much much more.

Also at the same time, I was going every night to the french division of Much Music called Music Plus to a show that was broadcasted live. The name of the show was 'Bouge' which means Moove! There I figured as a Dancer and was promoting clothes to the peoples that were going there. I had the opportunity to meet with some of the greatest D.J.'s on earth like Carl Cox, Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold and Most of the Québec Pioneers of electronic music. Those were like the best years of my life!

At the same time that all of this was happening... I was going out to Rave Partys like LE Bal en Black (also called the White Party), Black & Blue, Arrival, Connected, Gloom, Appocalipse 2001 and much more. I was also goig out After Hour club where I met my Best friend and Teckno teacher DJ Lady Melody former DJ resident of Club Red-Lite. She introduced me to Teckno music to the basics of the 1 & 2's, how to raise a party till people Rip their clothes off and how to compose Teckno music. She also introduced me to her Boyfriend DJ. Indica who's a huge Pioneer of the Underground Hardcore Teckno music of Montréal and Québec. This is where I was introduced to Reason. Just these two person gave me enough inspiration for the rest of my life ! Now they split up and I have lost sight of my friend Lady Melody... :( She would be soo proud right now.

At age 25 I had enough. I was ready to become the DJ that I always wanted to be but before I did that I wanted to take a chance at building my own familly. So I went on to therapy for 6 month to get rid of my drug addiction. After that I went on from jobs to jobs always getting frustrated about the lack of challenges from simple store clerk to CarSalesperson. Then My daughter was born.

Finally at age 29 I was right where I wanted to be, house, wife, kid, recording studio at home but something was missing... I still had that voice inside of me calling for music... so I recruted my Boy DJ Burn who at the time was a Heavy Metal/Alternatif/Punk Composer, Signer, Drummer and Guitarist of a group called SHADOW OF ONE. Then I recruted my rapper named D'z 4 eva aka G LLoyz aka Lil 17 aka LL O Baby. Then We started making test over test over test. This is where Pix-Samplz Studio was Born. One day my wife got jalous of my music and ran away with my kid for 21 days. (literally Kidnapped my kid !) From that came a verry dark year, my mom got into a serious motorcycle accident, my father learned he had cancer through that I had to deal with Lawyers, finding myself help and go back to school... everything crumbled around me... my dream of music was over. I lost all of my money, the house and found myself in a decent 4 and a half loaded with Sound Gear and no familly. I went on councelling and only since January of 2009, I started composing again... since I had lost everyting.

Now I'm 30years old and back on my feet stronger than ever ready to take over the world and I will not stop till I get there. My head if filled with emotion and vibes that I just want to express so I'm up for anything !

My Music Sounds Like

My Music is the expression of my moods and my emotion, it is my way of releasing good and bad energy and my way to express what sometimes cannot be said. My Music Sounds like Me ! If I sound Like somebody, let me know. When I composed I like not to have any outside influences to make it as Pure as possible.

In My Other Life I ...

I'm a Truck driver doing international transport for Vaccine, Fresh Food and some National Defence stuff. (So I got Plenty of time to think about music ! )
