If you're having problems logging into looperman.com then make sure to try each of these solutions

1. Ensure your type the user name and password instead of using cut and paste
2. Make sure your using the correct email address
3. You requested a new password and youre using the old one
4. Clear your browser cookies and cache
5. Make sure you have cookies enabled and not blocked
6. Make sure you have session cookies enabled for third party sites
7. Make sure you are using the latest version of your browser. Upgrade if not.
8. Try a different browser

A few people have reported problems logging into the new site so try everything in this list before contacting us. If you do need to contact us make you read the "How To Report A Problem" section of the help area first otherwise there is very little chance I can help you.

Of you're using Internet Explorer you might have some luck with the following settings

For IE to work

1. Click on Tools then select Internet options.
2. Click the Privacy tab button then click on the Advanced button
3. Make sure the CheckBox - Override automatic cookie handling is CHECKED!
4. Make sure the CheckBox - Always allow session cookies is CHECKED!
5. Set the First-party and Third-party cookie settings to what you need.

If Your Using Internet Explorer 8

Update it to version 9 or install or use a different browser. Most people having a problem seem to be using version 8.

Update Your Browser

Again most problems are solved by updating your browser to its latest version.

Ensure session cookies are enabled

If you find you login but are redirected and then appear to be logged out it may be due to you not having session cookies enabled in your browser or some type of internet security settings acting a little bit too keen. Heres a link to another sites info on how to fix this.

Remember though if you are having problems receiving mail from us dont mail me using the same address you are having problems with as i wont be able to reply due to your ISP blocking mail from looperman.com.

If you cant remember your password or lost it somehow then the only way to get a new password is to use the Forgot Password form.

All passwords are encrpted so nobody, not a mod or even looperman himself has access to passwords so contacting anyone will only see them send you back here.

You can change your account password via the settings section of the My Profile area. When changing your password try and choose something that is secure and never share your account password with anyone else.

You can update your email address from your profile settings page. Be sure to type your email address in correctly and always use a valid and active email address as this is whats used to log in.

If you have problems with an email address just get in touch and Ill try and help you out.

At the moment there is no facility for you to change your user name yourself.

If you need to make any changes simply contact me via my profile page and let me know what you need them changed to.

In order to use various area of looperman.com you need to at least upload an avatar.

You can upload your avatar image via the settings section of the My Profile area.

Only jpg images are allowed and well crop and resize the image once uploaded to create a square. For best results you should edit you avatar before upload so it looks good as a square.

If your account has been suspended you may be contacted to let you know why. There is no guarantee that this will be the case though.

If your account has been seen to be used to spam the site, promote illegal activity or has been seen to upload copyright material it may be suspended without warning.

If you feel your account has been wrongly suspended get in touch and let us know why.

If you find your having trouble resetting your password then its usually down to one of the following situations.

Problem : Your email provider is blocking email from looperman.com
Solution : Add looperman.com to the white list for your mail provider or contact your provider. We send email from no_reply@looperman.com but its best to white list the whole domain.

Problem : You are using the wrong email address and so when we try to find your account its not there.
Solution : Double check any mail sent from us to get the correct email address you used to sign up with or have a look at the original email we sent you when you registered (if you still have it)

Problem : Your mailbox is full
Solution : Make some space. Its a common thing to see mail bounced back to us because your using a free account but never checked to see if the mail box has any space left to receive new messages.

If all else fails you can get in touch and we can try and help. If you do that though be sure to send as much information as possible and be sure to have tried the solutions above first.

If you have problems where you fail to receive your activation email, login details or forgot password information then the chance are that either its in your junk mail or your ISP is blocking mail coming from looperman.com

To fix this simply check your junk mail or contact your ISP and ask them why they are blocking mail.

If you still have problems try a different email address.

If the problem is with the address you previously registered with and your account is active then feel free to get in touch directly and let me know as much information as possible and ill do what i can to help you out. Make sure you have tried all the advice here first though.

Hit the Upload Track link in the sub navigation bar in the tracks section.

Tracks must be saved as 16bit 44khz mp3 files and must not contain any copyright material.

Currently tracks must not exceed 10mb.

At the moment track uploads are limited to one track per day so make sure you upload a good one.

If your track got suspended the chances are that it was found to contain copyright material.

At the moment we are not tracking plays for tracks.

All the old data from the previous site is stored though so when this comes back ill bring the old data back too

If you are trying to play a track but cant see the player then you must not have flash installed in your browser or have it blocked.

The only way to play tracks is to install and allow flash.

We set up the option to mark a track as featured as a way to help you get a certain track noticed over and above the rest.

You can only set one track to featured and so to make life easier when you upload or edit a track and set it to featured we will automatically set all your other tracks to not featured.

In order to heave your featured track appear in the featured tracks area you must also have left a comment on another users track at some point in the past 72 hours (3 days). The idea here is that you get rewarded for being an active part of the community.

The featured tracks area is updated once every hour based on the above and on each page load we, at random select a track to show. We also count how many times a featured track has been displayed and ensure that every track gets the same amount of exposure.

In the near future we will be doing more with the idea of featured tracks so watch this space.

Only those members who have been granted access to upload acapellas can upload so if you cant and you would like to there are a few things you need to have done first.

1. Upload an avatar. Click here to do that
2. Fill out your profile. Click here to do that

The use of acapellas found on looperman differs from how it works with loops. When a user uploads an acapella they do not agree to give them away for free to use in commercial projects. Should you wish to use an acapella found here in your commercial projects or for something more then personal use then you need to contact the person who uploaded the acapella to discuss it.

looperman.com does not play any role in this though and is simply the middle man that introduced you. Most people who upload acapellas though are more then happy to work with you.

Acapellas found on looperman.com are NOT royalty free. The user who uploaded the acapella retain all rights over their acapellas. You may use acapellas uploaded here in your non commercial projects but for anything else you must get in contact with the artist who uploaded them to organise things.

During the upload process users agree to offer the loops as royalty free and also agree that the loops are their own work.

With that said though we do not offer any guarantee as to their validity as its impossible for us to fully vet all uploads. Loops are royalty free as in we nor the uploader requires any financial return for their use.

Should you wish to use loops in anything more then for personal use you must take it upon yourself to ensure their legality. Feel free to contact the user who uploaded the loops to do this. We simply offer a space for people to share their loop creations and make no legal claims.

At the moment the forums are open on an invite only basis. The idea behind locking the forums is to make managing them simpler rather then a way to snub anyone.

Before starting a new thread do a search for existing threads that are already discussing what you want to talk about. Starting the same conversation in another thread just waters down both threads and things get disjointed. you might even find there is no need to start a new thread and you find the answer you were looking for anyway.

This forum is organized into categories that have been given descriptions to help you. Before starting a new thread take a moment to think where it would be best suited and save us the job of having to move it afterwards.

The categories we have at the moment should pretty much cover everything. If you are still stuck have a look through the forum categories and see what type of things other people are talking about and make your mind up that way

Sometimes a thread has run its course, gotten out of hand or is old and no good to anyone. For those and many other reasons a thread may end up locked and no further posts can be made.

There are occasions where forum posts or whole threads get removed. This can be for a number of reasons and is at the discretion of the mods.

in some instances forum threads may be hidden while they are looked into and then may well come back or may end up permanently removed.

Please dont complain if a thread got removed as it wont help matters. Managing the forums can be a real pain so do what you can to make life easier for everyone involved.

You should also ensure you familiarise yourself with the forum posting guidelines before using the forums to help avoid any potential problems.

Simply add your comments to the form at the bottom of the main page for that item. When you post a comment the original artists will be sent a message and may come back and post a reply.

One thing to remember though is that you have to at least have an avatar to post.

Posting comments on loops, acapellas or member tracks is a great way to give them feedback or to let them know who you made use of their loops etc.

Many people who upload loops and acapellas love to hear how their sounds have been used. As far as tracks go everyone loves to get some feedback on their creations.

All we ask is that you be constructive in your comments. Saying you dont like something is ok but its more useful if you explain what could be done to make something better.

Another reason is that by posting comments on other members stuff youll find that they will do the same in return and so help you gain more exposure and make more connections. When you post comments on tracks youll then find your tracks are shown in the featured tracks list as a reward for taking the time to comment.

If you feel a comment made on one of your uploads etc is offensive then simply delete it. You can also contact us to report anyone who you think is spamming the system.

The cost of delivery is included into the price of the tshirts so no mattter where you live in the world the tshirts cost the same price.

As soon as any size or colour goes out of stock we update that page so you can always see whats in stock.

If you accidentally ordered something that you can now see is out of stock just drop us an email and let us know which size or colour you prefer or request a refund.

No, I'm afraid the only styles and colours are those that you see on the shop page.

The tshirts are professionally printed in bulk so individual designs or colours are not available.

Should you be having a problem that is not already covered here in the help section or elsewhere on the site then the best course of action is to get in touch so I can look into it.

1. Firstly read the help section of the site as Ill be updating that as we go along and may have covered the issue already.
2. Dont ask questions on facebook as I dont check it all that often and so wont answer any problems there.
3. Read the Welcome Back blog post. I mentioned quite a few things in there and a number of things have been covered in the comments.
4. Read the About Us page. Again, you might find an answer there or see why certain things are not quite as they used top be.

If all else fails and you think you found a bug or did not find the answer to your question then the only way to get things fixed is to mail me. The best way to get in touch is via my contact page but if you cant login then mail me on admin at looperman dot com.

If you do have to contact me then you need to send me as much information as possible otherwise its impossible to help you out. Simply saying blah blah does not work will result in me not being able to help you.

Heres what you should do before contacing me

1. Make sure you update your browser to the latest version. Many early versions of Internet Explorer for example are more trouble then they are worth and the cause of most problems.
2. Try to replicate the problem your having by using a different browser such as Google Chrome
3. Clear your browsers cache and cookies. This often fixes login issues
4. Make sure you have popups enabled
5. Make sure your antivirus or security settings are not causing an issue by temporarily disabling them and testing things again.

Heres what I need to know

1. Your profile url, so I know exactly who you are
2. The url where you are having a problem
3. If you click a link and get a blank page I need to know the url of the blank page
4. The browser your are using as well as its version number. Eg Internet Explorer V6 Windows XP
5. Explain what you tried to do, what you thought should happen and what actually happened
6. If possible send me a screenshot too

As the site has only just come back online there is still stuff thats being implemented so if its more a case of a feature does not exist as opposed to something does not work just hold fire and wait for it to be sorted.
