Replyhardcore/trance snare drum rolls?
 |
Hi Everyone, I can't seem to explain what i'm looking for exactly but maybe if i try someone can please help?
Ok so i'v been working on this Hardcore/Trance Track for afew weeks now, and its coming on nicely, BUT the only thing missing is a snare drum roll to build up with! I cant find one on looperman, and i cant find any tutorials on how to make one that uses the same snare drum as myself, sooo if anyone has any ideas on were i can find a tutorial (cos i really wanna learn how) or something along those lines, its like a build up snare drum roll, i dunno how else to put it :(
Hope to hear from someone! Thanks, Tara |

If you're using FL I can teach you or make you one. |

Ok, I don't how to use FL. But in general, create a new track, assign your snar sound to it. Then start to put notes (your snare's note number) If you want an 8-bar roll, start putting notes at every beat (4th) for the first 4 bars, then put the notes at 8th (two per beat), use 16th on the next bar, then 32th for the last bar.
Use automation for gradually increase the volume along the 8 bars. More cool if you add a flanger or phaser fx along the snare-roll, some 'manual' phaser or flanger that allow to you to manipulate the fx and make it increase along the roll. PLease eq-down low frequencies, maybe some mids too. And compress the full roll.
I will try to upload an example. Best, if you send me your snare sound, I can make a roll for you.
