The Awakening remix competition is now in the final stage which mean its time for you all to cast your votes.

Everyone over at Fusion Room Records have been overwhelmed with not only the amount of entries received but also the quality of those entries. Its a true reflection of the amount of talent here on looperman.
Thanks to everyone for taking part.
Heres are the rules as to how the voting part of this competition is going to work.
-> Who can vote
only looperman members who signed up before 19th July 2009 - the date the voting started are allowed to vote. This just stops people registering a new fake account for the sake of voting.
You are only allowed to vote once and in the case of multiple votes being sent in only your first message will be accepted.

you must send your vote via the contact me page of the competition profile here on looperman.

-> how to vote
There are 5 tracks chosen as finalists and you must put them in the order of how you rate them. Each track will then be given a score depending on the order you chose
for example
1 - My top choice (scores 5 points)
2 - My 2nd choice (scores 4 points)
3 - My 3rd choice (scores 3 points)
4 - My 4th choice (scores 2 points)
5 - My 5th choice (scores 1 point)
send this list to us as mentioned above.

Once the votes are in we'll tally up all the scores and then announce the final scores and the order they ended up in.
-> how long do we have to get our votes in ?
You have 7 days as of now to get your votes in. If you look at the bottom right hand side of the site you'll see the local time. Any votes that arrive after midnight on 27th July 2009 will not be counted.

With all being well and no stewards enquiry in place we should be able to announce the winner and runners up etc on Tuesday 28th July

Please dont discuss any of the tracks in the competition until its over. To make things more fun and to give everyone a fair chance the real identity of everyone who has submitted a track has been kept a secret. We only want you to vote on the tracks and not who made them.

Here are the 5 finalists and the 15 tracks that the judges felt deserved a mention. There were more then 15 that cold have been in the list but you have to draw a line somewhere :-)

I'm confused? :
In the track descriptions. It shows another voting method. Also in my opinion the top 5 should have been reviewed by the fusionroom too. |

If the 5 finalists had been reviewed then that could be seen as effecting the vote. This is the same reason why nobody else can comment on the tracks during the voting stage.
The whole idea is a level playing field |

I think today has been the most excited I have ever been to be here on this site... This competition has really awakened the members of looperman. I Dont think I have seen more people log on in one day than I have today.. Its really hopping here..

come on then folks , i can see the finalists have over 50 plays each but we have not had 50 votes in yet. If you want more competitions you have to show your support and take part.
Also remember to read the guide about how to vote.
you have to put the top 5 in order from 1st to last place with 1st place getting 5 points etc
if your vote has less then 5 tracks listed it will not be counted
for example
1 - My top choice (scores 5 points)
2 - My 2nd choice (scores 4 points)
3 - My 3rd choice (scores 3 points)
4 - My 4th choice (scores 2 points)
5 - My 5th choice (scores 1 point) |
