So what is BTV Solo

Beat Thang Virtual is the software equivalent to its bigger (and considerably more expensive) Beat Thang hardware mobile music production studio.

Available for both PC or Mac Beat Thang Virtual otherwise known as BTV Solo comes with everything you need to make your own original Hip Hop, Dance, Pop, Dubstep, Industrial or Electronic music productions. It comes pre loaded with over 1000 original and professionally mastered sounds and 100 professionally made and royalty free tracks that you can use in your own productions. On top of that you also get 100 pro drum kits and over 100 premium electronic and acoustic instruments such as basses, synths, choirs, effects and string ensembles.

A full beat making studio without any hardware

BTV Solo

One of the cool things about BTV Solo is that you can control everything with your standard computer keyboard. Not saying that you cant hook up your favourite midi controller but if you dont have one then dont worry as everything is controllable on your keypad.

During production mode you have a built in mixer to control volume, effects and panning etc , the effects rack comes packed with over 60 effects such as reverbs, delays, compressors, pitch shifters, high / low pass filters, phasers and flangers and the advanced sample editing tools allow you to time stretch, normalise, auto chop and even pitch shift your sounds.

Basically you get everything you could need to make stunning hip hop & electronic music. Its all pretty intuitive and you can get up and running making tracks in no time at all.

Expand BTV with Official sample packs or your own sounds

If you need more inspiration you can add to the huge library of built in sounds by purchasing expansion packs or by importing your own samples and loops. You can use either wav or aiff files downloaded from looperman and simply copy them into the BTV samples folder and they appear right away, ready to use in your track.

Free video training

For those of you who are new to making beats or need to brush up on your skills at producing cool tracks they have even thrown in a series of video tutorials that cover all the basics but also venture into advanced production techniques. Many of the tutorials also apply to most other studio tools.

smells like dubturbo...with the same "low introductory" price... is this a new trend in software developement or somethin? why not send people new to computer music to something that has a good record and dosent rely on gimmicks and popular vernacular in its product description? maybe somethin like sony acid music studio? http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/musicstudio
has demo version, and if you decide to buy it, only $70. acid is top notch, much better than any of these "make you own hot hip hop beats to impress your friends" programs. even reaper looks better...

This is for the people who don't want to work for their beats. I can see all the beats from this program starting to sound the same in the future.

Has anyone tried this out yet? I think it looks pretty good on paper but i'd rather hear from someone who's used it than pay any mind to a few speculative moans and groans.
